[首圖] "Us" Draw string bag For J.
這刺繡的花樣是我特別為J設計的圖，
只屬於我們兩個人。
兩個女孩共坐在一個大的鞦韆上，
這個構想不是偶然，
而是來自我們上一回見面(2007年1月)所拍的合照。
其實去年10月J有來看我，
不過這個禮物是4月份送J的生日禮物。
This design was especially designed for my friend J. The inspiration of this design came from a memory that belongs only to the both of us.
沒有縫紉機只能簡單縫個束口袋，
不然我還真想做成一個可以背的袋子。
If I had a sewing machine, I definitely would have made a bigger bag or tote out of this piece of embroidery.
這個我們兩坐在鞦韆上的主題一直被我們拿來用不同方式呈現，
下圖就是J在我2011年生日時，請人畫來送我的圖。
This motif of us sitting on the same swing has been represented in different ways. The following is a drawing which she commissioned someone to draw for my birthday last year.
我們化身為和珍奧斯汀筆下的伊莉莎白同時期的少女，
坐在鞦韆上討論著傲僈與偏見
(沒錯沒錯，手裡那兩本書的封皮可是寫著Pride and Prejudice唷!)

We are girls from the same era of Jane Austen's Elizabeth Bennet, sitting on a swing with Pride and Prejudice in our hands.I really love this drawing. This is something only a person who knows me well could come up with.
然後我就把這張圖翻印到帆布袋上，
做出來的實體，個人覺得印刷還不錯。
比下圖還美。
I had this drawing printed on a canvas tote. Looks nice, doesn't it?
很多時候，送禮不在物品多貴重。
而是那份對方特別為自己準備的驚喜，
從中可以感覺到對方對自己的了解與兩人的共嗚。
